// before you start#
You'll need a Discord account, and you'll need to be a member of the Sage Discord. If you're not yet, the /not-in-guild page has the invite link.
This walkthrough takes ~10 minutes and ends with you knowing where every important thing lives. No money changes hands at any step.
// 0:00 — sign in#
Click sign in (top-right). Authorize Sage on Discord. You'll land on /home.
The top-right shows your Discord avatar + your tier. If your tier shows 'visitor' but you're in the guild, give it 30 seconds — the dashboard re-checks Discord membership on a short TTL.
// 0:30 — read /home#
The four KPI tiles at the top are the at-a-glance state: signals in the last 24h, monitor health, verified caller count, top-6 avg hit rate. If monitor health shows degraded, ops is on it; the dashboard surface still works.
Below that, the live signal stream. Scroll the rows. Click one to open the detail.
The right rail shows the top callers (7d), the monitor wall (live), and quick links. The monitor wall is the same data ops sees in /ops/monitors.
// 2:00 — click a caller#
Click any caller pill in the leaderboard. /callers/[id] shows their hit rate, avg edge, full call history, and a PnL track record. This is how you decide whether their signals are worth following.
Don't follow callers by name alone. Hit rate + avg edge + sample size is the triangulation that matters. Five wins out of five is luck; 50 out of 100 with positive avg edge is signal.
// 3:30 — try a deep-link#
Pick a signal you find interesting on /signals. Click the external-link icon in the row's last column. It opens the actual Polymarket or Kalshi page in a new tab — that's where you'd actually trade.
Don't trade yet. Just verify the deep link lands on the right market. Close the tab.
// 5:00 — set notification preferences#
Open /account/notifications. The event × channel matrix shows which kinds of events route where (Discord DM, Telegram, Dashboard inbox, Email).
Today the matrix shows defaults — read-only until /api/dashboard/user/prefs ships. Read the rows so you know what kind of notifications you can expect.
// 7:00 — link Telegram (optional)#
If you want signal DMs in Telegram (instead of, or in addition to, Discord), open /account/telegram and follow the link flow. It's a 3-step process; the page auto-detects when the link lands.
Skip this step if you're happy with Discord DMs. Re-link any time.
// 9:00 — read safety#
Open /help/safety. The 'what YOU should do' section is the most important — paper-trade first, read the thesis, size for the worst case, verify URLs.
If you only read one doc beyond this one, read safety.
// next steps#
Press ? to open the keyboard-shortcuts cheatsheet. g s for /signals, g c for /callers, g m for /markets, g a for /account.
Browse /help for the deeper docs — prediction-markets, reading-a-signal, risk-sizing, faq.
When you're ready to trade, start small. Sage is a research tool first.
